Ghana’s REP at Big Brother Africa Makes it to the Finals

M’am Bea ( real name Beatrice Maame Adwoa Boabeng Oppong), Ghana’s surviving housemate in the 2014 edition of the Big Brother Africa reality show, has made it to the finals.

With two weeks away from the final, and after avoiding possible eviction this week, she is on her way to becoming Ghana’s second housemate to have made it to the finals, after Elikem Kumordzi’s impressive run in 2013.

Bea, who has managed to become a favourite of most of the housemates and the larger viewing public, will slug it out with other nationals for the prize money.

This year’s show was cut down to 63 days, 27 shy of the traditional 90, after the show suffered series of set backs – including a fire outbreak at the Sasani Studios where it’s eviction shows took place, and also selecting housemates who lived outside of their home countries – over visa acquisition difficulties.

Ghana’s other representative, Kacey Moore, has since been evicted.

Big Brother Africa is produced by Endemol.
