A Kenyan runner Eric Chirchir, ran eight Kilometres to escape police in New Jersey, U.S
He had earlier on been confronted by New Jersey police officers after they received a report that he had inappropriately touched a 15-year-old girl.
According to police, Mr Chirchir entered the women’s changing room at a golf centre where he works and that is where he found the teenager.
He is said to have molested her by touching her genitals.
The girl escaped and called the police on him.
When the police arrived, Chirchir dashed past them and ran the eight kilometres to his house, leaving behind his belongings behind.
Later on the police found the runner hiding in a wardrobe in his six-year-old daughter’s room.
