US cinemas boycott Idris Elba’s ‘Beasts of No Nation’ starring Ama K Abebrese and others




US cinema chains have boycotted showing Beasts of No Nation after Netflix was announced as its distributor. Idris Elba’s African war drama may now only get a release in 200 to 250 independent cinemas, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Chains such as Regal, AMC and Cinemark are opposed to screening a film that is simultaneously debuting somewhere else, such as video on demand
