Asamoah Gyan Sues Lawyer Maurice Ampaw GHc5 Million Over Castro Comments



Asamoah Gyan has sued Lawyer Maurice Ampaw at the Fast Track High Court, Accra.

The writ was taken out on 27th March, 2015 by his lawyers, Cromwell Grey LLP represented by the managing partner Kissi Agyebeng.

Asamoah Gyan is claiming general damages and exemplary damages of Gh 5million for defamation by Maurice Ampaw on several radio stations in respect of the disappearance of Castro and Janet Bandu.

Asamoah Gyan is seeking a perpetual injunction to restrain the lawyer from repeating such comments.

Maurice Ampaw in his radio publications imputed criminality to Asamoah Gyan for the disappearance of Castro and Janet Bandu and also claimed that Asamoah Gyan and his Associates attempted to bribe Castro’s mother to conceal the truth about Castro’s disappearance.
