Memphis Depay and 4 other players to look out for in the Premier League fantasy football!

The Premier League kicks off on the 8th August, and fantasy football managers across the country are feverishly finalising their line-ups in time for the first game, Manchester United vs. Tottenham Hostpur.

With more big-name players to choose from than ever before, picking a team can be a lengthy task for even the most dedicated of fans. Luckily, we’ve picked out five players to watch this season, youngsters and hot prospects who might help you pick up vital points for your team and propel them to the top of the league.

1. Memphis Depay (Manchester United)
Dutch attacker Depay signed for Manchester United in June, having top scored for Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven last time out; an impressive feat considering he mostly plays on the wing and not as an out and out striker! Although untested in the Premier League, Depay seems to have natural goalscoring ability and, at a relatively cheap £7.1m, could make a nifty purchase for your Mirror Fantasy iTeam.

2. Callum Wilson (AFC Bournemouth)
Not many fans have much hope for the Cherries in their first foray into the Premier League, but if they do exceed expectations they will definitely need leading goalscorer Callum Wilson to step up to the plate. With 20 goals last season, along with 7 assists, the former Coventry striker might be a decent bet to at least bag a good few points this campaign for the south coast side. At £5.5m, you can’t really go wrong.

3. Jack Butland (Stoke City)
The promising England under 21 goalkeeper looks set to take the number 1 jersey at Stoke this season. Behind a defence that kept the sixth most clean sheets in the league last season, he could be a safe bet for any iTeam manager looking for a cheap, but reliable, point scoring keeper. At only 21 years of age, and already valued at £5.2 million in the fantasy iTeam transfer market, Butland can only improve over the course of the 2015/16 season.

4. Cesar Azpilicueta (Chelsea)
Chelsea’s defence was the best in the league last season, conceding only 32 goals over the campaign. Out of the Blues' regular first team defence, Azpilicueta is the cheapest option, at £6.3 million, and is sure to be a continuing fixture in the squad this season. Contributing to 14 clean sheets, and even bagging a few assists in 2014/15, the Spanish left-back would be a great pick up for any fantasy manager.

5. Patrick Bamford (Crystal Palace)
Bamford netted 17 goals for Championship Middlesbrough last season, winning the Championship Player of the Year award, and a new contract at Chelsea, for his efforts. Now out on loan at Crystal Palace, the 21 year old Nottingham-born striker has a bright future ahead of him and is a snip for any Fantasy iTeam.

Remember, you have unlimited transfers up until the first match of the new season kicks off, and any new signings will be added as soon as the transfer is official, so tinker away.
