Kennedy Agyepong's BMW sports car was involved in an accident with a Daewoo saloon car at Birim, near Kyebi on the Accra-Kumasi highway on Wednesday.

Kenpong as he is popularly known, was enroute to the New Patriotic Party's Thanksgiving ceremony at Mpraeso, Kwahu in the Eastern Region when the accident occurred.
Both Kenpong and the driver of the Daewoo car sustained some injuries and are currently receiving medical attention.
Speaking in an interview after the accident, Kennedy Agyepong said, "“I tried to avoid the car, but I couldn’t, I was so close to it, it was inevitable. I feel pains in my arms and legs but I am recovering, thank God no deaths have been recorded."
