Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited, a subsidiary of Diageo Plc. U.K, has signed on Desmond Blackmore (D-Black) as the official Brand Ambassador for their vodka brand CÎROC Ultra – Premium Vodka.
Under the one year partnership, Desmond Blackmore would be the face for CÎROC Ultra – Premium vodka and would participate in all activities designed to project CÎROC as the vodka for ultimate celebrations in Ghana.
D-Black as an entertainment icon embodies the “art of celebration” professionally and through his lifestyle, which is what CÎROC stands for.
Nathaniel Ansong Manu, Head of the Luxury Brands portfolio in GGBL, said in a statement issued in Accra and copied to Ghana News Agency on Tuesday “said D – Black’s style, talent and attitude makes him the perfect celebrity partner to further enhance the luxury profile of CÎROC in Ghana.
“A major component of this partnership will be our commitment to promote responsible drinking as an integral part of all our activities.”
D – Black, Chief Executive Officer of Black Avenue Works, a celebrity marketing and advertising agency responsible for some great advertising works and events in Ghana as well as the development of some young talents in the music industry.
It is the first Ghanaian hip hop artiste to be nominated for the Black Entertainment Television Awards in 2011 putting Ghanaian hip hop music on the international platform.
With several nominations and awards, D – Black is arguably the most successful Anglophone hip hop artiste in Ghana.
