ACCRA: Girl pours acid on boyfriend after bad breakup, Boyfriend in critical condition

The Police are on the hunt for one Esther Enyornam Pekyi for allegedly pouring acid on her boyfriend, Eric Ohemeng.
The incident occurred on Thursday at Madina after Eric broke up with Esther.
According to the police, Eric, who is in a critical condition is currently on admission at the 37 Military Hospital.

Speaking on Citi FM Friday, the Public Relations Officer of the Accra Regional Police Command ASP Effia Tengey said “This lady after pouring the acid on this gentleman bolted and the police have intensified their search for her. She poured acid on him and you can see the severe bruises on his face and also some part of his body. For now the victim is in a critical condition at the 37 Military Hospital,” she said.

Narrating the story, ASP Tenge said a taxi driver who earlier dropped the two off at Madina from North Kaneshie returned only to see the couple in a fight.

The driver said he attempted to separate the two but failed.
Another person who also attempted to separate the two was injured when the acid was poured on Eric.

“It is despicable that people will think and actually use acid as a weapon and the police will do everything possible to arrest the suspect and get to the bottom of this matter,” she stated sternly.
Eric Ohemeng is said to be a third year student at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
