EBOLA VACCINE SAGA; Professor Alex Dodoo fails to show up in Parliament

Professor Alex Dodoo, the university don who stands accused of contempt of Parliament today, Thursday July 2 failed to appear before the Privileges Committee of the lawmaking body.

The lecturer incurred the wrath of the Members of Parliament following his claim that MPs are “ignorant” and lacked knowledge on the Ebola vaccine trial which is scheduled to take place in Ghana.

The Speaker, Edward Doe Adjaho, subsequently invited him to appear before the privileges committee after some MPs expressed anger over his remarks.

But the clinical scientist today failed to show up in the House. Instead, his lawyers represented him, with the excuse that he is out of the country.

Speaking to Starr News on the development, a member of the privileges committee Kwame Asafo-Adjei said the move by the professor amounts to disrespect of Parliament.
