Reports from our media sources indicate Players of defending Ghana Premier League Champions were attacked by armed men on Saturday night, just hours before their match against rivals Accra Hearts of Oak.
This is said to have happened at Tadoma hotel in Achimota where the team is based ahead of the game.
Some players and officials of the club are believed to have been assaulted in the attack although it is unclear if any of them sustained serious injuries.
The robbers also made away with the valuables of the players and officials.
The club is yet to release a statement on the incident but it is expected to do so in the coming hours.
