Work on the astro turf for Accra Academy is close to completion.
The $200,000 project is being funded by Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan as a measure of given back to his alma matter.
Works started in March this year and expected to be completed this month.

Asamoah Gyan is paying for and overseeing the construction of the football field at the Accra Academy Senior High School.
The pitch will boast an AstroTurf and Asamoah Gyan is expected to distribute appropriate football boots to the school for the players to use on the pitch upon completion.
