A total of 424, 092 candidates representing 92 per cent, who qualified have been posted to the various senior high schools across the country under the Computerised School Selection Placement System (CSSPS). From 8:00am today, candidates can log onto  www.myjhsresult.net  to know their SHS postings, a statement issued by the Ghana Education Service and signed by its acting Director General, Prof Kwasi Opoku-Amankwa said. Candidates who find any difficulty with their placement are advised to contact their Junior High Schools or the District/Regional Education Directorate for rectification.

Minister of Defence Mr Dominic Nitiwul has revealed that 10,000 national service personnel would be selected to embark on six months of military training as part of their national service next year. According to him, officials of the National Service Scheme (NSS) have already written to the military to inform them about the exercise. Mr Nitiwul made the revelation when he spoke to the media after appearing before the Public Account Committee (PAC) over the 2015 Auditor General’s Report. The PAC is currently holding public sittings on the Report of the Auditor General for the Public Accounts of Ghana for the year ended 31st December, 2015. Mr Nitiwul also stated that the law to allow service personnel to do military training already existed. The West African Examinations Council has released provisional results of the 2017 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) written in June. A statement issued by Waec on Monday said subject results of 1,298 candidates have been withheld while investigations are carried out. It said the Item Differentia Profile (IDP) software was used to detect cheating in the objective tests. Check it here
