Vanessa Gyan has quit Y FM and ETV Ghana. According to speculations, she may be heading to the EIB Network acquired GhOne Television. Vanessa, the daughter of the late Kiki Gyan of Osibisa was co-host of ‘Yired’ on Y FM, host ‘Sincerly, Vee’ and a segment host on The Late Night Celebrity show on etv.
Gyan’s last day with the Global Media Alliance-owned media outlets was last Friday, November 27 and according to sources her move was came as a result of clashes with management. She joined the Television station in October 2013, after relocating to Ghana from the United States of America.
Vanessa started out as a producer on ‘e on e’ hosted as Caroline Sampson, and also presented entertainment news during the primetime news on etvgh. ‘Sincerely, Vee’ a show produced and presented by her started airing on the Asylum down based TV stationin January 2015. She joined Y FM some seven months ago as the co-host of ‘Yired’.
Before she relocated to Ghana. she gained quite an experience in the United States, covering events alongside networks such as VH1, MTV and BET to interviewing prominent artists in the industry from the legendary Boyz II Men, super-producer SwizzBeatz and Grammy Award-winner Melanie Fiona.
