#JustIn: Tiwa Savage escapes kidnap attempt, suspects arrested

Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has confirmed escaping from a security breach at her residence. This comes after some reports went viral, on Friday, that some men has attempted to kidnap the singer. Tiwa Savage's management took to her Instagram handle to release a statement confirming that the musician's home had been broken into, but, the suspects' aim was not stated. The statement reads: "Following recent reports online, we can confirm that on Thursday 13th April 2023 there was a major security breach at the residence of musician Tiwa Savage. "A number of suspects were caught and are currently being held under investigation at Alagbon Police Station, Ikoyi. Ms Savage and her family are safe and well." We’ll settle outstanding coupons on April 28 – Finance Ministry

The Finance Ministry says it will settle outstanding debts on coupons by April 28, 2023. This is contained in a press release issued by the Finance Ministry on April 14, 2023. According to the statement, this decision was reached after an engagement with the leadership of the Coalition of Individual Bondholders Groups on the timelines of payment of outstanding domestic debt obligations. "The meeting chaired by the Hon. Deputy Minister, Hon. Abena Osei-Asare, MP agreed that the Joint Technical Committee constituted on 18th January, 2023 reconvenes and agrees on a pathway, towards the settlement of the outstanding debt obligations, by 28th April, 2023," portions of the statement indicated. This comes after the Coalition of Individual Bondholders Groups on April 11, petitioned President Akufo-Addo on the non-payment of old bonds that were not part of the recent domestic debt exchange programme.
