WAEC Releases WASSCE 2019 Results. Check Your Results Here

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released provisional results for the 2018 West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). A statement signed by Agnes Teye-Cudjoe, Head of Public Affairs at WAEC, said the Council will soon despatch the results to the schools and candidates are advised to contact their heads of school for their results WAEC said though it is in the process of dispatching the results to the various candidates “those who desire, may access their results at the Council’s website.” The council is alerting members of the public especially candidates to be ware of impostors who promise to change examination results for a fee. Every year, the Statistics, Research, Information, Management and Public Relations (SRIMPR) division of the Ministry of Education rank the various high schools in Ghana based on the WASSCE results. St. James Seminary/Senior High School in Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo Region ranked first in the 2018 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). popular Schools like Mfantsipim and PRESEC could not make the first 10. The time is here again. Anxious Junior High School leavers who are done with Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) are ready to check their Senior High School placement. The Mfantsipims, the Adiscos, the Gey Heys and co. All the best! You can check the SHS placement from the comfort of your phones. A total of 424, 092 candidates representing 92 per cent, who qualified have been posted to the various senior high schools across the country under the Computerised School Selection Placement System (CSSPS). From 8:00am today, candidates can log onto  www.myjhsresult.net  to know their SHS postings, a statement issued by the Ghana Education Service and signed by its acting Director General, Prof Kwasi Opoku-Amankwa said. Candidates who find any difficulty with their placement are advised to contact their Junior High Schools or the District/Regional Education Directorate for rectification.

UCC School of Medical Sciences to hold 8th White Coat Ceremony on Aug 10th

The University of Cape Coast SMS on the 10th of August 2017 will hold a White Coat Ceremony to mark the transition of level 400 students from the study of preclinical to clinical health sciences. The White Coat ceremony, a ritual in medical school that involves a formal robbing of students in a doctor’s traditional wear, the white coat, will be the seventh to be organised by the UCCSMS, the first and only Medical School in Ghana that holds the ceremony. Mahama Ayariga threatens court action over ‘illegal’ university fees

Bawku Central MP Mahama Ayariga has immediate plans of going to court if public universities do not use the proper channels and seek Parliamentary approval for fees they charge. This came as a result of university authorities instructing students to pay what The MP described as “illegal” fees. The University Students Association of Ghana early on made a statement informing all students of public tertiary institutions not to pay their recently increased fees for the 2017/2018 academic year until Parliament approves the increase. Newly Inducted Medical Doctor, Dr Fathia Kareem Sets Record at KNUST with 12 Awards
